BIMI checker: show your logo in the inbox

Check your BIMI record, your SVG logo and your certificate, and whether your DMARC policy is strict enough for inboxes to show your logo.

Enter a domain name or an email address, then run the check. Results appear after the form and are announced when they finish.

Reads public DNS records and loads the logo file listed in your record.

How it works

Get your logo into the inbox

Check every piece BIMI needs, and see exactly what stops inboxes from showing your logo.

Enter your domain

Type the domain you send email from, or any email address at that domain.

We check the record and logo

The checker reads default._bimi.yourdomain, loads your logo and checks its format.

See what inboxes need

You see the logo, the certificate, your DMARC policy and anything that is missing.

What BIMI needs

Four things must be in place

DMARC enforcement

A policy of p=quarantine or p=reject.

An SVG Tiny P/S logo

Your logo saved as SVG Tiny Portable/Secure and served over https.

A certificate

A Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Certificate (CMC), needed for Gmail and Apple Mail.

The BIMI record

A TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain pointing to the logo and certificate.

Good to know

Before you set up BIMI

01

Get DMARC to enforcement first

BIMI does nothing while your policy is p=none.

02

Convert your logo properly

Regular SVG files are not accepted. Use a converter that outputs SVG Tiny Portable/Secure, with a square logo on a solid background.

03

Check your sending reputation

Even with everything in place, inboxes only show logos for senders they trust.

Questions

BIMI, explained

Something else? Get in touch and we’ll answer.

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) lets supporting inboxes show your brand logo next to your emails. It is published as a TXT record that points to your logo.

A DMARC policy of p=quarantine or p=reject, a logo in SVG Tiny Portable/Secure format served over https, and for Gmail and Apple Mail a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Certificate (CMC).

The most common reasons are a DMARC policy of p=none, a logo that is not in the Tiny Portable/Secure format, a missing certificate, or a sending reputation the inbox does not yet trust.
